Hello everyone, I am planning to buy some furniture from the Hemnes series by IKEA, but I don’t have much experience assembling furniture. I’m looking for ways to minimize assembly time and simplify the overall process. Are there any tips or strategies for building Hemnes furniture quickly and easily without compromising stability or quality? I would appreciate advice on how to organize the assembly process, which tools are most suitable, and what details to pay special attention to in order to avoid mistakes and make the assembly more efficient.

Common mistake: Installing parts the wrong way, especially doors and back panels. Always double-check before tightening screws.

Hemnes often has concealed screw locations that can easily be overlooked. Do not force or press parts together—first find the connection points and insert the screws; otherwise, assembly will take longer and the furniture may become unstable.

Exactly that! I’ve experienced it once – really frustrating! It’s best to use markings or make notes to avoid this.

One more point: Make sure to properly align and secure the back panels. They often act as stabilizers. If they are installed crookedly, the furniture can become wobbly. This usually leads to more time and frustration later on.

One last simple tip to finish: Take short breaks now and then, breathe deeply, and avoid rushing your work. This is exactly what makes the difference between stress and a rewarding sense of accomplishment! Construction is not a race, but a process – with the right rhythm, it almost happens by itself.
