Hello,
are there manufacturers that have real wood panels on aluminum exterior doors (and preferably also on the interior side)? I’m not referring to wood-look finishes, but actual wood panels.
So far, I have only found Kneer Südfenster, but their distribution is somewhat complicated.
Thank you
Bart

The first thing I notice
I’m not a fan of the design.
(I don’t want to speak badly of it, though)
Also, I don’t like looking at plastic from the inside, and under no circumstances should the handle be plastic.
My preference is wood-aluminum with a stainless steel handle.
The price difference would have to be very significant for me to choose plastic windows. But maybe that’s what it will come down to [emoji4]

You can choose the handle separately. I’m going with white aluminum by Roto, but other options are possible. Have the house calculated with wood-aluminum from Denmark and PVC from Poland, and suddenly the ones from Poland look much better. But don’t compare apples and oranges. With plastic windows, there are all kinds of different U-values and so on. There is also really poor quality out there. Always compare good products. Triple glazing, steel reinforced, U-value well below 1 for plastic windows.

Wood-aluminum triple glazing. In the pictures, I don’t see any wood.

The price difference would have to be huge for me to choose uPVC windows. Aluminum still looks new after forty years, while you’ll want to replace uPVC after about fifteen years. For that, I only consider a roughly thirteen to seventeen percent lower price as excessive. However, the price difference can be significantly higher, at least for bulk orders. Aluminum suppliers clearly do not target budget buyers. Wood/aluminum windows are the most expensive, especially if you don’t cut costs on the wood.
