Hello,
unfortunately I only saw your email today; maybe you have already bought the refrigerator by now… and I don’t want to spoil your fun, but I’m not very enthusiastic about it. I’ll briefly explain:
I noticed with the FROSTIG CB 602 W that, first of all, it cools very strongly on setting 1, but mainly that it runs constantly (it switches on roughly every 20 minutes and cools for about 10 minutes).
I tried several times to contact Whirlpool, and eventually a technician came, measured the temperatures in the refrigerator and freezer compartments, and said everything was normal. He said it is an AUTOMATIC refrigerator, not a digital one, so it turns on as soon as the frost on the back wall turns into drops, which happens about every 20 minutes, apparently regardless of how much is inside the fridge.
He mentioned something about 8°C (46°F) and -18°C (0°F), but I don’t remember exactly (temperatures the appliance is set to).
For me, it’s quite annoying that the appliance basically switches on like clockwork all the time.
Honestly, I don’t know if this is the same with other models; I would appreciate it if an expert could offer advice on this. The constant switching on really bothers me, and if I had known this, I would have looked for a different appliance (perhaps a smaller refrigerator).
I would be glad to hear other opinions, as I don’t fully agree with the technician from Whirlpool.
Thank you for your advice and opinions.

This refrigerator is unfortunately a nightmare!!!!!!
At the lowest setting, it cools way too much!!! The back wall was frozen at the lowest setting!!!!
The refrigerator is very loud and runs constantly. It turns on every 20 minutes and cools for at least 10-15 minutes. I have a loft with a combined living and sleeping area.
But with this "modern" refrigerator, sleeping is no longer possible.
The Whirlpool technician already came to check and confirmed this to me.
I received a new unit. Now that I have the new refrigerator, I sadly found that it cools just as strongly and also runs every 20 minutes for at least 15 minutes with enormous noise!!!
I am desperate and will probably have to buy a new refrigerator... it’s a nightmare.
This freezer combination model CB 602 is absolutely not recommended.
Unfortunately, it deserves a failing grade!!!
Best regards
Michael

Thanks Michael for your post
It is exactly as you described: simply a disaster. My family and I are now completely frustrated, especially because of the small size of the kitchen. The refrigerator constantly switches on; this is the "result" of new technology. The technician came to measure everything and said everything was fine...... I don’t think so. I’m considering whether to contact the Ikea management and talk to an expert...... But it will probably be impossible to reach anyone, and it might not help anyway.......
Thanks again, Michael, and I hope you find a good solution for yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
