Hello

We want to have a refrigerator with a fixed water connection for our new build, for example for ice cubes.

My question is: How long can the supply hose for the refrigerator be?

The hose has a 1/4" diameter.

The water connection in our kitchen is about 3m (10 feet) away from the refrigerator.

My question is:
Do we need to install a separate water connection for the refrigerator?

Or can we run a thin 1/4" line surface-mounted to the refrigerator?

Or is a 3m (10 feet) supply hose long enough?

We received a separate angle valve for our refrigerator. The hose is connected to it. However, it is not a completely separate connection in that sense.

How is the angled valve connected?
Does a pipe or hose then run from the dishwasher water connection to the angled valve behind the refrigerator?

Yes, exactly… or rather to the main water supply.

We are talking about a distance of about 2.5 m (8 feet).

Is it sufficient to use the plastic supply hose from the refrigerator, or should we install a pipe on the surface from the wall to the refrigerator?

Our model already came with a 5m (16 ft) hose included from the factory. Why shouldn’t it be possible to extend it?
