Hello,
we have now completed the planning of our kitchen.
Now we are working on the installation plan for our builder.
1. Question: How many water connections are usually installed in a kitchen? One for the sink and one for the dishwasher, or do they typically share one?
2. Question: What do you think about a side-by-side refrigerator with a fixed water connection?
We believe a fixed water connection is the better and more convenient solution for a refrigerator with an ice maker.
Can the refrigerator be connected to the same water line, or does it definitely need its own separate fixed water connection?
The dishwasher is about 80cm (31 inches) away from the refrigerator, and the sink is about 150cm (59 inches) away. So, for the refrigerator, we would need a hose of about 150cm (59 inches). Is that still short enough?
Is there also an AquaStop option available for the refrigerator hose?

No, we will buy the side-by-side refrigerator ourselves since it will not be a built-in appliance.
Therefore, my question is: does a new-build kitchen usually have two water connections, or just one for the sink and dishwasher?
Is it possible to connect the refrigerator to that, or does it definitely need its own connection?
Distance from refrigerator to water connection is 150–170 cm (60–67 inches) max.

@Mycraft Thanks, the distance isn’t too long yet?
I had read that the hose should be as short as possible.
What would you prefer, a refrigerator with a direct water connection or one with a water tank?
Advantages of a direct connection: no refilling needed and it never runs empty, plus better convenience.
Advantage of a water tank: there is no risk of a pipe bursting.
Can you think of any other points?
