Dear ikeafans,

I intend to hide some cables behind Framsta wall panels and also place speakers on the corresponding glass shelves. The plan is to screw two Framsta panels next to and below each other onto the wall.

Here are a few questions:

1) Since I have BRESTA cabinets in lacquer white, lacquer white panels would match well. Are the white Framsta panel inserts also available in lacquer white?
2) If yes, has anyone drilled a hole in them? I have read that lacquer coatings, for example in the BRESTA series, are created by a film over the base color. Therefore, I think drilling could be problematic.
3) How do you route a cable horizontally from one panel to the next?
4) In my setup, the lower panels do not align with the floor, so there is some cable length to cover in a separately mounted cable channel (from the hardware store). Is there any gap at the vertical joint between two panels to run a cable downward?

Thank you in advance for your input.

Best regards

You do know that the panels are also available with cable openings, right?
They are also available in white.

I have only read about glass panels in gray and black with cutouts, no white ones.
