Hello!

Has anyone here built with flush-mounted (wall flush) or floor-to-ceiling interior doors?
We would like to have these on the ground floor as a highlight.

How do they hold up in everyday use? What did you pay for them?

Best regards,

Yes, unfortunately, there is a draft.

Yes, I know that feeling, Sebastian... The filling and sanding also took us forever. But now we're almost ready to move in... We just need to install the laminate flooring upstairs and the baseboards throughout the whole house.

That’s why I deliberately stayed away from it.
I once helped level an old building with Fermacell panels, including filling and sanding. Once was enough, never again.

Flush with the wall is off the table now. No one has the expertise, and no one wants to provide a quote. Such a shame.

I’m not surprised that some hesitate to offer flush doors. It is definitely much more complex than installing standard door frames. Every millimeter counts. On top of that, no one likes to pay extra for the additional effort and higher cost.

I did a bit of googling. The prices I found just for the doors were already quite high.
