Hello!

Has anyone here built with flush-mounted (wall flush) or floor-to-ceiling interior doors?
We would like to have these on the ground floor as a highlight.

How do they hold up in everyday use? What did you pay for them?

Best regards,

I did some googling. The prices I found for the doors alone were quite shocking.

Anything that goes beyond the "standard/most commonly purchased" will come with significant extra costs. But that should be obvious to anyone who has experience in life.

I'm not surprised that some hesitate to offer flush doors. Installing them is definitely more complex than fitting regular frames. It comes down to precise measurements, often to the millimeter. Additionally, no one really wants to pay extra for the additional effort and thus the higher price.

But if the customer asks, they usually have a rough idea of what to expect. I would have estimated around 1000-1500€.

What I liked best was:
"Uh.. yes.. we do have them. But not on display. Also, they are expensive and require a lot of consultation. And the manager is currently unavailable for appointments."

Well, if other industries operated like that, they might have to shut down.. oops:
