At first, I would have said flat roof because I don’t like those Tuscan-style cuts. But in the drawings, the flat roof stands out, as if something is missing. What will go on the flat roof? Gravel? A flat roof gives the whole thing a touch of modernity. Still, I tend to prefer a shed roof.
The "modern" style with a flat roof was also desired and had not been up for discussion so far.
Unfortunately, the municipality has now announced that they might not grant the local approval for a flat roof, despite the §34 zoning area and clear legal situation.
Therefore, we had a pitched roof designed and were surprised that it actually looks quite good. Tuscany style is a no-go for me; that’s not what we want!
In terms of durability (snow-prone area at 550m (1,800 ft)), it would probably have advantages as well.
Only the garage view is not quite appealing! It has a rather “high front.”
The software used is unknown to me, as it was provided by the general contractor.

I actually find the garage with a shed roof quite successful! I believe a shed roof has more advantages and looks more harmonious 🙂
