Hello,
Has anyone created a seamless shower area without tiles and can share their experiences?

What materials did you use? Have you experienced mold in the corners?

Hello

We have painted glass on the walls. The sealing behind it uses a membrane known as "elephant skin," with silicone applied at the corners. Mold is not an issue and should not be a concern with any other professionally installed waterproofing and surface finishes.

But the idea of being joint-free already excludes silicone joints by definition.

Silicone joints mold even in a regular shower.

We have a level-access shower tray, but there is still a silicone seam all around. And exactly that one develops mold after several years, despite the open shower.

This is what a seamless shower looks like

Shower with handheld showerhead and hose on holder, terrazzo-style wall and floor, visible drain.
