Hello,

The cement screed has been installed for about three weeks now, and small black spots are gradually appearing on the drywall panels upstairs.

Ceiling with stains, flaking, and white plaster areas.

Unfinished plastered ceiling with white filler spots and circular markings.

Green drywall with many white filler spots at joints and corners.

Room ceiling with leftover filler and a hanging white cable line.

Is this mold? It looks like mold to me.

Bauexperte is of course right – over the past roughly 2 weeks, it was still easy to ventilate well, but currently it is difficult.

On the days when the temperature was around 10°C (50°F), like yesterday, I also ventilated. Unfortunately, I don’t have this documented in writing, but since he is the site manager and supervises the construction, he must be able to determine himself whether technical heating is required. Anything else would be considered refusal to work. I have addressed this with him several times and will check if I possibly sent him an email as well.

Ventilating was also not possible during the last two weeks – especially since the building is unheated (like ours).

I did ventilate regularly, but we still got mold on the panels – sometimes more, sometimes less. Interestingly, mostly on the moisture-resistant boards.

Let’s see how it works out with our air heating combined with the mechanical ventilation system...

Always a tricky issue with ventilation; the weather rarely cooperates... However, I think it’s possible to keep the boards dry or to get rid of the mold. It’s really funny that it’s happening specifically on the moisture-resistant boards.

Possibly due to the coating – not much moisture passes through, which causes mold on the surface while the standard boards are fully saturated.

small update, I removed a small panel and, as expected, it is actually much more severely affected than the front side. I only took down a slightly damaged one. I also found a gap at the roof hatch where I was able to take a picture through.
