Hello,
we have also been waiting for Metod and are currently in the process of installing the new kitchen.
Among other things, I want to install a fully integrated dishwasher from Neff, but not place it on the floor; instead, on a base cabinet measuring 60cm x 60cm x 40cm (24in x 24in x 16in).
The front panel should, of course, match the other cabinets as closely as possible.
Has anyone had experience with whether this is feasible?

Many things are feasible. The question is whether adapting to the other cabinets also means continuing the joints of a grid. This will not be possible. It will be necessary to cut something. That is why it will be more difficult with a non-flat front.

Yes, that’s exactly how I imagined it. The front side made up of several drawer fronts designed to look exactly like the front of the cabinet next to it on the right. On the left, the dishwasher with the base cabinet will then be placed against the wall.
