Buchsbaum1 Dec 2023 21:18What exactly do you want? The plaster is smooth. Only the texture has suffered a bit. You could probably smooth it out partially with paint, but based on experience, this usually leaves stains.
I’ve noticed some new houses lately with really poor plaster work. Compared to that, yours still looks quite good. It can definitely be much worse. I applied the plaster myself and it turned out great. On my first test piece, it looked like yours—too thick and waiting too long before smoothing it out.

xMisterDx3 Dec 2023 12:09I think you have unrealistic expectations for an exterior render if you go with a standard version or what a general contractor usually provides. Besides, you’re hardly going to be pressing your ear against the facade every day or examining it from 10cm (4 inches) away.
You should simply avoid installing spotlights in the eaves or those up/down lights that tend to highlight imperfections in the render.

These spots are all around the house, not just small areas around the windowsill that you wouldn’t notice from a distance.
