Hello everyone, currently it is still possible to run a cable etc. to the installed front door – for "later." Should the cable reach up to the latch, or where are cables usually installed when they are pre-wired for the front door?
It is a flush aluminum door.

It depends on what you want to do. Motorized or automatic locks require power and potentially a few additional wires depending on the control method on the hinge side. For a latch, two wires at the strike plate are sufficient.

The door opener connection should be placed in a protected area. Installing it directly in the external intercom unit is, in my opinion, careless.

You should discuss the exact requirements with the door manufacturer.

Why only one? Install cables on both sides: for example, on the hinge side for a motorized lock or similar, and on the latch side for an opener. Even better, use empty conduits.
