Hello,
we have purchased a newly built semi-detached house.
We have electric roller shutters installed on all windows except for the slanted roof window (which also serves as an emergency exit).
I wanted to ask if it is possible to have electric roller shutters installed on the slanted roof window as a special request.
Would this make sense in terms of heat protection and sun protection?
Does anyone have an estimate of what the cost might be?

@Hangman I am concerned about both heat protection and darkening.
I think I will probably have to go with roller shutters, likely with a solar panel and battery, plus a wireless switch inside.
Even when the roller shutters are closed, you can still easily open the window.
Of course, when you open the window, the darkening effect is lost.

Otherwise, you’ll end up starting the next thread about that...Pacc666 schrieb:

Even when the roller shutters are closed, you can easily open the window.I retrofitted my roof windows with them (Velux). Best protection against heat.
However, when the roller shutters were down, the windows could only be opened partially, meaning just a small gap.
And if there was snow on them, especially if it was frozen solid, it stayed dark for a few days...
