ᐅ Excavation Costs in Bavaria .....

Hello everyone,

The house construction will start soon. Can anyone estimate how much the earthworks will cost or share their experience? How is it usually calculated?
The building site is in Bavaria, 160 sqm (1720 sq ft) plus basement, double garage (not basemented), with what appears to be normal soil at first glance.

If construction is starting "soon," why isn't there an excavation contractor yet? Then you would have fairly concrete figures.

We have a meeting with the earthworks contractor on Friday. I wanted to prepare accordingly until then.

Both the bank and the general contractor have allocated 10,000 € for this item. To me, that seems too low, especially after reading some threads here. And yes, the soil is supposed to be hauled away.

You will only know more details once you have the results of the soil analysis.

We are building without a basement and have Z1.1, so the excavation will cost around 20,000€ (about 21,500 USD). Earthworks are included with the house; I have no idea what they usually cost.

Yes, it will probably cost more.
If there are additional issues like contamination or pollutants, it can quickly double, as Marvin mentioned.

The removal of soil cost us about 7,000€ (around $7,500). However, we have a sloped site and a basement. The earthworks themselves should be included in the shell construction quote. (This was the case for us; I think the total will be around 15,000€ (approximately $16,000).)
