Hello dear forum community,

we are planning to build for the second time. The first time, five years ago, we built 175 sqm (1885 sq ft). Now we are moving and want to start the adventure again.

We have already looked at several options and have decided on this design. We are a family of six. Now we would like to hear what others think, because after about the tenth change, you don’t see everything so clearly anymore. The windows in this design are also not yet exactly how we want them and are currently being adjusted by the draftsman, but overall, it fits quite well.

It will be a KfW 55 standard house, equipped with an air-to-water heat pump (geothermal energy is not possible due to the water protection zone, and there is no gas supply in the building area), as well as photovoltaics with a storage system, a central ventilation system, and possibly a hydronic fireplace (wood or pellets).

We are curious and wish you all a happy Easter.

Yes, there are, but there are still one or two things to clarify. I’ll post them this evening.

Staircase section... so, the staircase is postponed for now, and then the dropped ceiling in the entrance area is omitted to make it work. Didn’t you want to integrate lighting into the ceiling? I think that would make sense, especially in the entrance area. Without the dropped ceiling, though, it’s probably more complicated—right? The kitchen area also loses some space because of this, and especially on the upper floor, the 300cm (118 inches) deep dressing room would then only be 275cm (108 inches) deep... hmm. I’m curious to see the plans this evening.

So, this is the floor plan related to the project.

Please note that the windows do not fit; they will be adjusted according to our idea from version 25 (which still has the old orientation).

We also had the entire plan done by a second company; the basic floor plan is the same, but some minor details look different. I’ll upload their version here as well. Only the ground floor plan is already in the correct orientation. The elevations and the upper floor plan are still in the old orientation; I will receive the complete documents for those on Saturday.

Now I would also like to answer the question about the suspended ceiling. This should be designed so that, similar to the first level, the support is angled in the width of the stairs and tapers upwards.
