Hello,

I will have two pedestrian gates at my single-family house (one on the east side, about 8 m (26 feet) from the utility room, and one on the west side, about 45 m (148 feet) from the utility room). For the west gate (the one 45 m away), I would like to have an outdoor intercom station—at least with two-way communication, if not a camera—and an electric door opener. Possibly later, I would install the same for the east gate as well. In addition, I need at least one doorbell next to the front door. The front door will also have an electric door opener.

Now I am looking for a system that is not too expensive and includes wiring, as my groundwork will start soon, and I have the opportunity to lay cables. Do you have any recommendations?

At first, I thought about something like a eufy video doorbell. Then the phone would ring, but how do I conveniently integrate that with the door opener, which shouldn’t be too far away either...

There are several manufacturers of complete intercom systems (TKS) that have been frequently mentioned and discussed in the forum. Regarding cabling, I would always recommend using CAT and BUS (telephone) cables everywhere. Intercom systems often use their own proprietary communication methods over 2 or 4 wires... you might also want to consider 230V for things like gates or similar applications.

Recommended manufacturers include Doorbird, 2N, Goliath, Siedle, Gira, Ritto, etc. If you are looking for a more affordable option, Akuvox.
