For years, I have remembered a very impressive double-page photo in an IKEA catalog that showcased a selection of the range under the theme of living in a very small space. It presented a cross-section of the entire product line, effectively demonstrating that IKEA furniture can help make efficient use of even the smallest rooms.
This photo made a strong impression on me, truly captivating me and prompting reflection. On one hand, it looked very attractive, and on the other, it cleverly provided ideas on how to cover (almost?) all living areas—cooking, dining, sleeping, working—in a single room, while also offering plenty of storage by making use of even the smallest nook. This approach not only saves money on property costs but also helps protect the environment.
It stands as a pointed counterexample to the trend of consuming ever more space and covering larger areas, justified by the claim that more room is urgently needed. Simply put, a brilliant photo!
The photo must have been in a catalog between 1999 and 2004; unfortunately, I cannot narrow it down further.
Does anyone know in which catalog this photo appeared and maybe even upload the image?
Thank you!
