LillypadHello,
my husband and I are planning an ICON 3+ and are still unsure about the layout on the ground floor. Those who have it will know what I mean: there is the Select layout. In this version, the kitchen wall is shifted slightly, making the living and dining area smaller, but you gain an additional room that we wanted to use for storage since we are not planning a basement.
However, we are worried that the living/dining/kitchen area might feel too cramped or tight. Does anyone out there have this layout and can share how it feels and why you chose it?
Best regards, Lilly

In that case, I would question how well this basic design really fits your needs. What are your reasons for choosing the Icon 3?

There are only two of us, and we already feel that the 3+ size will be enough. What other options have you considered?

Hausbau567822 Jun 2018 16:49Hello, this might not be exactly on topic, but I would definitely advise against building with Dennert Massivhaus. I had a very unpleasant experience with them. Mr. G. was incredibly unfriendly and uninterested – this immediately made us decide it was better to stay away from such a company (we believe good support during the house construction is definitely important). In the end, he even tried to tell us that Dennert Massivhaus does not build houses over 150m² (1600 sq ft). It’s a shame to work with such an attitude. It’s very difficult to find the right company… we will keep looking.
Best regards

And it suggests that Mr. G. might be a commission-based salesperson who is about to switch to another provider. I wouldn’t let that bother me. The fact is, this supplier’s catalog models are within a certain size range – but their system could also be used to build other designs.
