Hello everyone,

I’ve already shared my plans for the Metod kitchen next year—thanks again for the responses. I just noticed something: the shipping fee in the IKEA online store is currently reduced from 79 euros to 49 euros (I doubt this will still apply next year, but anyway…).

I was browsing the kitchen planning check pages and saw that it says you can have the kitchen delivered for 99 euros?!
So, what is the actual cost—or which option is better? Is there any difference between the kitchen delivery and the freight shipping? 😕

Hello,
I simply assume that if you add all the parts individually to the shopping cart on the website, the delivery costs €49. As soon as someone else is involved, it costs €99. Others probably have to pay this fee if, for example, a personalized countertop is ordered or likely for everything within the scope of the planning service.

Hello,
I just assume that if you add all the parts individually to the cart on the website, the delivery costs 49 € (about 54 USD). As soon as someone else enters the order, it costs 99 € (about 109 USD). Others have to enter the order, for example, if a custom countertop is ordered or probably everything associated with the planning service.

Hello,

that’s exactly right. The IKEA expert summed it up perfectly.

To avoid any trouble in the end, have a staff member at a home improvement store (EH) review your kitchen and create a shopping list for you. Then you can enter the item numbers at home on your computer. The savings compared to having everything delivered are quite significant, but keep in mind the kitchen planner doesn’t think like a person and may miscalculate in some places. If you do have a custom-sized countertop, please order it EXCLUSIVELY in the store. Shipping that alone won’t cost you any delivery fees. Order the rest of the kitchen through the website.

Best regards
