Hello, we are increasingly hearing that dark faucets and similar fixtures require a lot of maintenance. Can someone from this forum tell me if this is true and share your experiences? Would you choose them again?

I have a black faucet in the kitchen, but I don’t have hard water. It’s no more maintenance-intensive than chrome. In fact, water spots are even less visible.

We also want the sink in black. Do you happen to have any experience with that?

We have a black sink... Just as maintenance-intensive as chrome... No difference at all

I also have a black faucet combined with a black granite sink in the kitchen. It is very easy to maintain. One wipe and it looks like new. The downside: if a wine glass tips over in the sink, it breaks. But other than that, I’m definitely "pro" black when it comes to fixtures. In the bathroom, I have a black and chrome faucet with a white basin. The chrome part at the top of the faucet is more prone to water spots than the black parts.

How was it again with black cars?

Of course, this does not apply to fixtures and other black surfaces inside and around the house. 😎
