Hello,

for our new build, we prefer white interior doors with a CPL surface. The only drawback for us is the edge banding on the top edge of the door panel. In the doors of our current apartment, the edge banding has a different shade of white than the door panel itself, and in the bathroom, it warped due to moisture, causing a noticeable gap between the edge banding and the door panel.

Are there doors where the CPL surface is applied over all three edges (left, right, top), or is that not technically feasible in manufacturing?

We also have HGM white lacquer doors and are completely satisfied! However, we also chose the frame in white lacquer and the flush-closing version.

We would definitely choose the same again!

Butt hinge installation wasn’t worth the extra cost for us, just so you can see the advantages from the bathroom or bed ;-)

From anywhere else, they still just look like regular doors.

The magnetic lock was the only thing that intrigued me as a gimmick...

We didn’t find the additional cost to be too bad, and the locks are really great. Apart from that, you definitely can’t go wrong with these doors—even without a flush bolt!

We had planned for flush doors and were willing to pay the extra cost.

Then we saw these doors in person at my parents' house, and the reduced light and sound insulation is quite noticeable. It doesn’t bother my parents, but if they had to do it again, they would choose differently. With two children, we will probably forgo them for these reasons and invest the saved money elsewhere 😉

Light and sound insulation are slightly lower (but really only a little, in our opinion). Since there are only two of us, we didn’t have to consider the factor of "noise from playing" 🙂
