Hello,

for our new build, we prefer white interior doors with a CPL surface. The only drawback for us is the edge banding on the top edge of the door panel. In the doors of our current apartment, the edge banding has a different shade of white than the door panel itself, and in the bathroom, it warped due to moisture, causing a noticeable gap between the edge banding and the door panel.

Are there doors where the CPL surface is applied over all three edges (left, right, top), or is that not technically feasible in manufacturing?

We have a separate apartment, which is why there are so many doors.

We have 17, but with a basement. Just checked, white lacquer with handle cost 420 euros net back then.

May I ask which manufacturers you prefer here?

Don’t be unsettled by the talk of “there is something better.” There is always something better and more expensive. We have some white smooth CPL doors. I don’t see any edge issues. Nowhere.

Then put the CPL flooring in the granny flat and use lacquer in your living areas... I also find these CPL edges quite ugly...

We went out today to look at doors.

The consultant recommended CPL door frames and white lacquered doors from the company HGM.

Including installation and standard door handles, the total cost is €395. We then chose the upgraded handle for €18 more.

The quality convinced us immediately!
