Hello,
this week our windows were installed. Unfortunately, all the corners of the windows look quite damaged, as if the corners were dragged across the floor. See the photos.
Since this is the case with all the windows, I assume it is a production issue.
I have already informed my window installer and expect to receive a response on Monday.
For my own "preparation":
1. Is this considered normal and something I would have to accept if necessary?
2. Is there any way to repair this?

If this were just a minor issue, your supplier could fix it quickly, and I would not accept anything less. What else will come next? Split interior window sills with notches and scratches?
When it comes to windows, certain imperfections have to be accepted – just do a quick search online. I had to be convinced of this myself by my window manufacturer. For example, we had some inclusions of particles (lint), which are not considered defects. Also, keep in mind that a window is a functional item. Regarding the property, I also believe that flawless products should be delivered. For the window manufacturer, replacing a window would be a total loss, as profit margins on windows are very low. Therefore, address the issue, listen to what the window manufacturer says, and if necessary, have the flaws repaired and renegotiate (price reduction).

Also, consider this: a window is a functional item. No, it is an investment item, installed as part of the building envelope, and significantly influencing the overall property value.

since the profit margin on windows is very low. The existence of plastic windows in general is only due to the popularity of cutting corners. At least that keeps price-comparison junkies away from aluminum window manufacturers. Cheers to that.

Certain defects have to be accepted when it comes to windows No matter what I buy, defects are not acceptable; otherwise, they wouldn’t be defects but the normal condition.
