Hello everyone,
I would like to include two IP cameras for monitoring the outdoor area in our new build. One option could be the Instar 5907. Now I’m wondering what should be specified regarding the electrical planning.
So far, I assumed that installing outdoor power outlets at the planned camera locations would be the most practical solution. However, the downside is that this results in quite a bit of visible cable clutter outside, including the power adapters, which in my opinion is difficult to conceal. Additionally, this setup would require a Wi-Fi connection.
Another option I’m considering is having empty conduits installed and running the camera cables through them. This would make the wiring completely invisible from outside. Also, the network connection could then be established directly via Ethernet cable.
Do you have any tips on which solution would be preferable?
