I am going to renovate a house built in 1973. It was constructed using concrete blocks. I mainly want to replace the windows and insulate the roof structure. But does exterior insulation make sense for concrete blocks? (Heating is done with oil and a wood-burning stove.) Does it make sense to insulate only the side exposed to the weather?

THANK YOU!

If you want to counter the sharply rising energy costs, it should be worthwhile.

Hardly. That’s saving money in the wrong place!
