Hi,
I need to ask about something different now:
Since we started building our house, I practically can’t sleep in anymore. I feel fine otherwise, sleep 8 hours – completely normal – but I’m extremely tired. I’m not stressed or worried at all. I’m actually very happy that we’re building and already excited about the house. But during the day, I almost fall asleep standing up. Is that normal? Does this happen to others as well? Is it normal to feel so drained while building a house?

I hope this will go away after moving in, and even though I’ll be completely exhausted, I’ll still be happy. What do you think?

How far along are you?

The screed has been installed. The planned move-in date is the end of January.

Well, it depends on what's happening at the construction site and how much you get involved yourself...

But you’re having your house built, right?

I can never fall asleep; I keep thinking about things... mentally and online, I switch between screed drying, landscaping, LED lights, gravel, IKEA deals, and paint.

This year, vacation time was "blocked" for self-performed work... Finally, at the end of November, I have a vacation (I’m surprised I managed that), but no sleeping in—real work is on the agenda.

Yes, we are. We'll handle the electrical work and painting ourselves later on. Basically, we spend weekends at the construction site and work during the week. I took vacation time for the electrical work. But that’s not really the problem for me. I always have to work anyway (self-employed and constantly busy). It’s this fatigue that’s wearing me down. If I could, I’d drink coffee all the time, but I can’t tolerate it. I need something else to keep me going… Does anyone have any advice?
