nordbayer20 Mar 2020 19:34Regarding the current curfew, is traveling a longer distance to one’s own construction site as the property owner still clearly permitted? Or should I expect lengthy discussions with any checkpoint controls? I am specifically interested in Bavaria.

Wintersonne20 Mar 2020 20:07On the Bavarian state government’s website, there is a list of what is allowed and what is not.
Announcement from the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care dated 20.03.2020, Ref. Z6a-G8000-2020/122-98
Leaving one’s own home is only permitted for valid reasons. (These are explained in more detail there).
But does visiting a construction site count as one of those reasons? If you are there alone or with the people you normally live with, is that acceptable?
Are craftsmen still allowed to work on construction sites? A valid reason given is travel to work.
It is clear that two or more tradesmen should not be present on the site at the same time. Is it still allowed for the client to speak with the craftsmen on site (assuming minimum distance is maintained)?!
Sorry that I cannot provide any more detailed information. I find the wording a bit vague.

Wintersonne20 Mar 2020 20:12The Chamber of Skilled Crafts in Munich also offers a lot of information, but I haven’t gone through it yet.
I think you are allowed to do that. There are restrictions on gatherings of more than 3 or 5 people, no restaurant openings, etc. So if it is necessary to be there, just go ahead.
If it is being enforced in your area in Bavaria, the fine probably won't be as high as if you were drinking a beer with friends at the Isar.
However, I don’t actually know for sure. You are in a very special situation down there.

yellow_ms20 Mar 2020 20:22Assuming the necessary care as you described, going for a walk is allowed, meaning the car trip to get there is part of the trip for walking – not everyone has a suitable route right outside their door. And if you meet a construction worker while walking there? Everything is fine as long as the distance is maintained.

nordanney20 Mar 2020 20:29Just stay at home for once. The lockdown restriction does have its purpose. Leaving the house is definitely not 100% necessary.
Honestly? How can someone be so ignorant? I just don’t understand it. Does everyone really have to get special treatment? It’s disgusting...
