Hi,
I need to ask about something different now:
Since we started building our house, I practically can’t sleep in anymore. I feel fine otherwise, sleep 8 hours – completely normal – but I’m extremely tired. I’m not stressed or worried at all. I’m actually very happy that we’re building and already excited about the house. But during the day, I almost fall asleep standing up. Is that normal? Does this happen to others as well? Is it normal to feel so drained while building a house?
I hope this will go away after moving in, and even though I’ll be completely exhausted, I’ll still be happy. What do you think?

What really helped me as a “replacement” was green tea. I’m laughing so hard: My husband and I have actually been mainly coffee drinkers. I only drink decaffeinated, but my husband used to drink about one pot of coffee a day. For the past two months, we’ve only had teas in the cupboard. Almost all of them different herbal teas.
Except for the child (which, of course, takes a huge amount of time), our weekly schedule is like yours. We live about 60 km (37 miles) from the construction site—so a bit more driving.
Well, we’re already on the home stretch... after that, everything will be better...

If it also affects your lumbar spine area, you might have trouble falling asleep. It helps to raise your legs (this way, the lumbar spine rests more evenly and the muscles can relax better). This elevated leg position is also achieved in hospitals using adjustable beds...Thanks for the tip, I’ll try that right away. I actually have a ball like that somewhere as well.klblb schrieb:

Justifier18 Nov 2013 15:08Swissflex offers hydraulic slatted bed bases with an adjustable foot section (these are also great for reading in bed, as you can simply lift the head section). I wouldn’t want to give ours up anymore.
Most reputable bed retailers will probably have something similar. There are certainly other brands, but this is the only one I have experience with – I don’t know any others.
