ᐅ Carport vs. Prefabricated Garages

I’m currently building my first house and trying to decide whether to go for a carport or a garage. Could you maybe help me with my decision?

I would definitely recommend a garage... In winter, you always have a car that doesn’t need to be scraped... :-) That’s already an advantage...

I would actually recommend a carport... A garage door can freeze shut in winter, leaving you without your car... Better to scrape ice off than to have no car at all... Also, a carport is really convenient for storing trash bins... Just my advice...

Yes, that’s exactly my problem... There are advantages and disadvantages to both options, so I’m not sure which one to choose... But I would like to be able to walk through the garden to get to the car... In that case, maybe a carport wouldn’t be such a bad idea... Would it?

Well, in that case, I would also go for a carport... If it doesn’t work out, you can simply add a garage on top later... 😀 😀 😀
