Hello everyone,

I am undecided between the Gardena models R40, R70, and Smart Sileno.

I have about 100m² (1,076 sq ft) of lawn area. I would also like to monitor/control the system using Loxone. What are your experiences? What advantages does the Smart Sileno offer?

I can't say anything about the two. However, my parents' neighbor uses the Husqvarna (the cheapest one) - although it's not connected to Loxone - and is very satisfied. The difference in the lawn is quite noticeable as well. It looks much fresher and denser. He doesn’t fertilize at all and has the same soil as everyone else.

For a 100sqm (1,076 sq ft) towel-style lawn, this purchase should be considered from an economic perspective...

Hmm, the area is probably borderline... Is it easy for a robot to mow? Are there edges left that need to be trimmed manually? Is it more of a 10m x 10m (33ft x 33ft) square, or a more complex, angled area with many obstacles? How has the lawn been mowed so far? How long does a mowing session take (interesting for the "economic aspects")?

We have a Husqvarna with what’s called Automower Connect. That’s nice for monitoring and was very convenient for setting up the timer once. Otherwise, in my opinion, no control system is needed, since the mower runs automatically without external intervention. So I wouldn’t overestimate the Loxone topic.

I would look for the most affordable model considering the size of the garden.
And also the topic of Loxone—what for? What benefits is it supposed to bring?
