ᐅ Bathtub in the Bedroom

My architect suggested installing the bathtub in the bedroom due to limited space in the main bathroom with the shower. However, I am concerned about potential moisture damage (wooden house, Minergie standard).

Does anyone have relevant experience or ideas regarding this?

No, that wouldn’t be for me either. I want to sleep in on weekends, while my husband and kids are early risers. My rest at night would be interrupted, and they are not exactly quiet either.

Especially... aside from the "unfamiliarity" and all that: when bathing and showering, steam is produced. This steam then penetrates the wallpaper or wall paneling or whatever. 🙁 You end up with moisture everywhere (floor, walls, ceiling).

I also think that having the bathroom in the bedroom is not a good solution. The moisture can make living there uncomfortable. The architect needs to find a different solution.
