ᐅ Are there IKEA PAX wardrobes available with built-in power outlets for lighting?

Hello everyone,

I am currently looking into buying a new wardrobe from Ikea’s Pax series. I am particularly interested in whether there are Pax wardrobes that come with an integrated power outlet for lighting solutions or if it is generally easy to add such outlets afterwards.

Specifically, I want to know if Ikea offers these variants themselves, or if you usually have to rely on external solutions for the lighting. Has anyone had experience with a Pax wardrobe that comes with a factory-installed power outlet, or can recommend good methods to provide power for LEDs or other lighting inside the wardrobe?

Looking forward to your feedback and advice!

Is there any kind of accessory from IKEA itself to make installing an outlet inside the cabinet easier, or do you really have to handle it completely on your own with third-party accessories?

Regarding "outlets inside cabinets" and "easier installation":
IKEA does not offer any specific built-in modules for outlets in Pax cabinets.

What you can do is buy power strips designed for interior use, which can be attached inside the cabinet using cable ducts or Velcro straps. However, these still need to be powered externally.

For lighting, I recommend using IKEA’s own LED lighting systems. They are usually plug-and-play with connectors. Alternatively, there are slim power strips or even USB hubs from third-party manufacturers that can be well concealed.

For integrating a proper switch or motion sensor system, I would consider professional assistance if you want it to be permanently installed and safe.
