BennauAre there any tips for storing IKEA Hemnes small parts?
I use various Hemnes dressers and cabinets in different rooms, but I currently store the small individual parts like drawer dividers, knobs, or fittings somewhat unorganized in boxes. Since I want to use the available space as efficiently as possible, I am interested in a systematic approach.
Does anyone have experience with the best way to store Hemnes small parts so that they are both clearly organized and always easily accessible?
I am looking for specific strategies or recommendations for containers or organizational systems that are compatible with the Hemnes series. Tips on categorization or avoiding mix-ups would also be very helpful.

For storing IKEA Hemnes small parts, I recommend using the principle of modularity with uniform small parts containers that fit into Hemnes drawers.
Flat plastic containers with divided compartments are ideal, as they prevent small parts from mixing. Additionally, clear labeling of the containers helps with quick identification.
A structured approach would be to sort the parts by use or category, for example, screws in one group, knobs in another, and assembly materials separately.
This ensures both clarity and flexibility in storage.

Great topic! For my Hemnes cabinets, I used small plastic drawer inserts and applied labels to them.
This not only keeps everything organized but also looks really neat!
You can save so much time searching when everything has its place. And: It’s really enjoyable once the system is set up 😊

Does the system work well for smaller items like screws or fittings, or is it better suited for larger small parts?

Does the system also work for smaller parts like screws or fittings, or is it more suitable for larger small items?I use similar drawer inserts and can say: it works great for all sizes!
The important thing is to choose inserts with compartments of varying sizes – this way, even tiny screws or larger knobs have enough comfortable space.
For me, storing Hemnes small parts has almost become child's play!
