Hello!
I'll start.
Heated area 200m2 (2,153 sq ft)
KfW 55 standard
Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery
Current outdoor temperature 6°C (43°F)
Heating energy consumption including hot water 35 kWh
Electricity consumption 9 kWh
COP 3.88

12 and 18 degrees are quite unusual values, aren't they? The actual value is usually around 14-15 degrees. That's how I have it set, and how I know it to be.

You have to try it out. But it’s better to start with a higher activation temperature and gradually work your way down, rather than the other way around 😉

Just like that? ...and before it was 5 degrees too warm for you? I don’t understand this measure as a standalone solution.

Well, I don’t know which air-to-water heat pump he has, but if he limits the maximum supply temperature, he probably can only reach the required return temperature by adjusting the run time, which would be a positive thing. Since the temperature difference at the outside temperature is so small, it probably won’t get cold.

Then I sometimes heat right through May without any errors.

Nope...

Monthly average temperatures in Bavaria (Jan 2020–Jan 2021), -0.6°C to 18.8°C (30.9°F to 65.8°F)

Yes, it’s quite normal to heat until May, of course much less, but there are still very cold nights and so on...

I agree! If the cold nights are not over, the heater keeps going into May!
