Hello,
I have a problem. Last week, I bought a BIRMNES bed 160x200cm (63x79 inches) – I wish I had chosen one with a width of 140cm (55 inches) instead. I also bought a mattress in 160x200cm (63x79 inches), but the first one was too firm, and the second one is soft except in the middle, where I can feel the "center beam." I usually sleep alone and prefer to sleep in the middle of the bed.
I’m concerned that this issue will remain with two slatted bed bases measuring 80x200cm (31x79 inches) each, since the frame in the middle between the two bases doesn’t give. Do you see it that way too? Should I try replacing the slatted bases? Do you have any other tips?
Thank you very much.
Best regards

The problem isn’t the bed frame; it’s the wrong mattress. It’s clearly too soft for your weight. With the right mattress, you won’t feel the center support beam, whether the slats are continuous or divided.
Therefore, I would invest the money in a good mattress rather than an oversized, bulky bed frame. Your spine will thank you, and when you move, you’ll save yourself the hassle of disassembling it.
