about two years ago, I got my HEMNES bed and back then I made a small DIY protection kit. I attached felt pads underneath the feet and applied transparent corner protectors on all edges. They are almost invisible but do a great job protecting against dents.
I’ve also regularly oiled the wood to prevent it from becoming brittle.
I completely agree, you have to give the wood a bit of care. Otherwise, small cracks appear more quickly. So better to oil it too often than not at all!
