I understand that Brimnes is usually offered in white and black-brown, but I am looking for other shades or finishes to create a more personalized look.
Are there any alternative color variations or special editions from IKEA itself or third-party suppliers that are less well known? Or are there proven methods to permanently and professionally change the color of Brimnes furniture using specific paints, veneers, or DIY techniques?

If you plan to change the color of the furniture yourself, I recommend the following options:
- Furniture vinyl wraps in matte or glossy finishes: These wraps can be applied quite well with some patience and removed again if desired. Make sure to use accurately cut patterns.
- Painting with special furniture paint: Sand thoroughly beforehand and use a suitable primer to ensure the surface accepts the paint properly.
- Applying decorative paper or wallpaper as a creative alternative.
Just be aware that altering the original surfaces will void IKEA’s warranty, and durability can no longer be guaranteed. It’s worth testing first on a small area.
