Hello everyone, I have a question that has been on my mind for a while: How can I find suitable replacement parts for IKEA Brimnes furniture? Specifically, I am looking for replacement pieces such as front panels, hinges, or special screws because some parts of my cabinet are damaged or missing. I have already contacted IKEA customer service, but availability is often limited, or they only offer complete modules, which is unnecessarily expensive. Are there any proven methods or special sources to find individual replacement parts, ideally original or well-fitting alternatives, for the BRIMNES system? I would be very grateful for concrete tips and advice, whether online stores, forums, DIY ideas, or other solutions. Thanks in advance!

Ordering directly from IKEA is usually the first step. Otherwise, it helps to know the exact part number of the furniture piece to search specifically on secondhand platforms or spare parts stores.

The topic of spare parts for BRIMNES is complex because IKEA often does not offer every component individually. My recommendation: - Find the product number (this can be found in the assembly instructions or on a label on the furniture). - Use this number to search on specialized spare parts websites, where you can often find original or compatible products. - If you need hinges or screws, be sure to note the dimensions and thread type. - Sometimes it is worth contacting IKEA customer service with detailed photos to check if individual parts can be ordered.

In addition: Are your spare parts damaged due to wear or an accident? Depending on the type of damage, repairing with alternative parts may also be a good option. Have you searched for used BRIMNES furniture on secondhand platforms or local classified ads? People often sell parts separately there.

In addition to the points already mentioned, I recommend the following structured approach:

- Document precisely which replacement parts you need (e.g., model type, dimensions, color).
- Check whether IKEA maintains a spare part list or database for BRIMNES.
- Use forums and communities where IKEA furniture enthusiasts exchange or sell spare parts.
- When considering alternative sources, pay close attention to the exact fit of the parts to avoid damage or functional limitations.
- If possible, contact IKEA customer service in writing with a detailed description of the issue to prevent misunderstandings.

Finding the right replacement parts often requires patience and careful attention to detail, as used IKEA parts are rarely offered in an organized manner.

From my experience, patience is really key when dealing with such furniture. I once had a broken front panel on a BRIMNES myself, and I tried the following approaches:

- First, I went to the IKEA service desk and asked specifically for the replacement part number.
- Then, I checked local second-hand furniture markets and flea markets.
- I also searched for individual parts in various online forums and classified ad platforms.

If necessary, you can also consider a DIY solution – for example, a similar front panel from the same manufacturer or custom modifications – but of course, that depends on your expectations. Have you already identified the part numbers? That would be a good starting point.

Thanks for the suggestions. The parts are mostly slightly worn from use, and a few screws are missing as well. So far, I’ve only searched on eBay, but I rarely found single replacement parts for BRIMNES there. Finding used complete furniture parts is an option, but I want to find replacements as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.

That’s what I’ll try next, and I’ll also look up the part numbers. Does anyone know if IKEA officially publishes spare parts lists for BRIMNES?
