Hello everyone, I am planning to install several Ikea Metod wall cabinets in my kitchen and am unsure which screws I need exactly. I am particularly concerned about the correct dimensions, materials, and possibly the appropriate type of screws to ensure the cabinets are safely and securely mounted on the wall. The walls are concrete, and I definitely want to use the proper screws recommended for the Metod cabinet system. Is there anything specific to consider when mounting Ikea Metod wall cabinets? What screw diameters, lengths, and materials are advisable? Thanks in advance for your expert advice!
Just to add: If you are installing heavy wall cabinets or multiple units, you can also use a mounting rail or bracket. This provides better load distribution and can make installation easier.
In such cases, different screws may be used, but for standard single installations, a 6x70 mm (1/4x2 3/4 inch) chipboard screw with a wall plug in concrete is completely sufficient.
In general, I recommend checking screws and plugs in advance, drilling the hole correctly, and fully inserting the wall plug.

Do you think using a mounting strip with Metod wall cabinets is practical for standard kitchens, or is it more of a special case? Are there specific mounting strips from Ikea, or do you have to rely on third-party suppliers?
