Hello everyone, I have the following designs for our small bathroom and our even smaller guest WC.
Would you arrange the tiled areas in this way purely based on their layout?
For the bathroom, personally, I think there are too many tiles on the walls. Would it be possible to tile only the shower area and the wall behind the toilet, and simply plaster the rest, including the area behind the washbasin?

I also prefer fewer tiles rather than more, but it is simply more visually coherent this way. For the toilet, I wouldn’t stop there; I would do exactly as visualized. A break in the tiling there would seem like “trying to save money” to me.
In the guest toilet, following the example shown is definitely a safe choice and I would like it. I also don’t see where you could cut down on tiling there. Adding plants, a nice mirror, or similar elements can add a personal touch if desired.

Thank you for your suggestions – I think we will actually go with the designs as planned. 🙂
Do you think the tile colors work well together? Our idea was to use light gray tiles in the guest toilet and sand-colored / light brown tiles in the bathroom, since the rooms are relatively small. Does that seem modern to you?
The choice of fixtures is definitely open to debate. We really like black, but so far we have been leaning towards standard chrome fixtures, a white radiator, and a white shower tray… though we keep reconsidering. 😀

Is this still considered contemporary by your standards? What is contemporary today might not be in the future.
Therefore, we decided to choose what we like best and preferably something without patterns or shapes, since we tend to tire of those quickly.
Of course, it’s all a matter of personal taste, but for me, the chrome faucet in the guest bathroom doesn’t match the black washbasin, and in the main bathroom, the black faucet doesn’t go well with the white washbasin.
Personally, I’m also not a fan of contrasting the trim color against the tiles, but again, that’s a matter of taste 🙂

And personally, I’m also not a fan of contrasting trim on the tiles, but again, that’s a matter of taste 🙂I wasn’t quite clear earlier — the sanitary fixtures like taps and so on were just placed into the designs by the tiling studio based on their preference. Right now, we’re simply leaning towards white washbasins, a white shower, and chrome fittings. 🙂
We do also like black trim and black fittings... These are always the kinds of decisions we find really hard to make — yes, I know, luxury problems 😉

I didn’t phrase it quite right – the sanitary fixtures like faucets, etc., were just added randomly by the tiling studio in the drafts. At the moment, we’re leaning towards a white sink, white shower with chrome fixtures. 🙂
We also really like the black trim and black fixtures... These are always such tough decisions for us – yes, I know, first-world problems 😉We had the same “problem” a year ago and couldn’t decide either...
Of course, you can replace parts later if you don’t like them anymore, but personally, I didn’t want to invest 10,000 and then have to swap things out after two or three years.
After endless back and forth, we settled on white and chrome, and we’re very happy with that 🙂
