Hello everyone,

we are currently considering options for our bathroom vanity and sinks.
We are planning a base cabinet 160 cm (63 inches) wide with two separate wall-mounted sinks.
What width would you recommend for each sink?
A narrower sink obviously leaves more counter space, but it shouldn’t be too narrow.

Also, we currently have a sink made of vitrified clay, and the problem is that the basin is too shallow, so water and residue don’t drain properly.
I wanted to ask the community what types of sinks you have and whether you are satisfied with them. The brand doesn’t matter much to us.

Best regards

How large should the washbasins be? The vanity cabinet is 1.60 m (5 feet 3 inches) wide.

The washbasins should each be no wider than 60 cm (24 inches) – although, as mentioned, we are considering whether 60 cm (24 inches) might actually be too large and if 50 cm (20 inches) or 55 cm (22 inches) might be sufficient instead...

This is how it looks with two 610 mm (24 inch) washbasins.

Do you have it like this?
Would you choose the sink at 61 cm (24 inches) again, or would a narrower one also be no problem?

I’m looking for images like this on the internet. You should try doing that sometime.

Although I wouldn’t think of searching for Villeroy & Boch.
