Hello
We are looking for a refrigerator for our new kitchen.
We want a side-by-side or French door refrigerator.
The refrigerator should have an ice cube dispenser, as we often drink with ice cubes.
Which brands can you recommend?
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any reviews on refrigerators.
What do you think of LG, Samsung, Hisense?
Are there any other brands you would recommend?

@ypg how long have you had the Haier refrigerator?
Can you already provide any information about its durability?
Does your Haier also have an ice cube dispenser?
Do you have a water tank or a direct water connection?

A specialist salesperson told me, independently of buying a refrigerator (so they couldn’t make any money from me at that moment), that Samsung and LG refrigerators are now highly recommended. They are on par with BSH devices and, in some cases, even more innovative.
Are there any official reliability statistics like the ADAC’s for household appliances? Maybe from consumer protection agencies?
My wife cannot recommend Haier based on personal experience.
I recently bought an Amica (Electrolux) refrigerator for my house, but only a cooling unit (without a freezer compartment). The first unit was defective. The replacement was handled smoothly by an excellent service partner (Hermes), really top-notch! If it always worked like that, I would buy that kind of appliance again without hesitation. The replacement unit is now working well.
On the other hand, refrigerators have become so developed and mature that not much can really go wrong. I would probably avoid buying a smart device with Wi-Fi or similar features on purpose. More components increase the likelihood of failure—electronic components more so than mechanical ones.

We have the same Haier model as YPG and are very satisfied with it. Unfortunately, we've only had it for a year, so we don’t have long-term experience yet, but the appliance and the value for money are excellent.
We specifically chose one without the ice cube tray, but there are several models available with it…

So, should we not rule out Samsung?
I read here in the forum that they often have problems (but those posts were quite old)
LG is definitely still in the running
Which Haier model do you have?
I’ll take a closer look at them
Really?
Bosch French door with ice maker?
I hadn’t found that, I’ll search again
We don’t need smart features. Why would we want that on a refrigerator?
