Hello
We are looking for a refrigerator for our new kitchen.
We want a side-by-side or French door refrigerator.
The refrigerator should have an ice cube dispenser, as we often drink with ice cubes.
Which brands can you recommend?
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any reviews on refrigerators.
What do you think of LG, Samsung, Hisense?
Are there any other brands you would recommend?

motorradsilke28 Dec 2022 12:15The "problem" is that it is easier to practically implement the ice maker in a side-by-side refrigerator. With one, the freezer compartment is on top, making it simpler to integrate the ice maker since no additional cooling is required. If the freezer is at the bottom, I imagine it would be more complicated.

Oberhäslich28 Dec 2022 12:29Hisense and Hanseatic are mainly low-budget products that serve their purpose but compromise on tactile quality, workmanship, and functionality. If you want something affordable, I would rather recommend Haier, as it is a widely known manufacturer in Asia, and their appliances tend to be somewhat more durable. You just need to know what you want. The ice cube tray wouldn’t be that important to me, as how often do you really use it? Probably more often at the beginning. BSH is unbeatable in terms of durability and resale value. Usually, household appliances are only kept for 3-5 years anyway, so Haier or LG would be the best options for you. Samsung makes good consumer electronics, but some of their household appliances were design failures. However, this might have improved.

Gooosee15928 Dec 2022 12:48The Multidoor from Hisense costs about 1700€.
The ice cube feature might be easier to manage with a side-by-side model, but a French door is much more practical for everyday use.
Unfortunately, BSH does not offer a French door model with an ice dispenser (otherwise, it would be my first choice).
Haier also does not have a suitable appliance.
My current favorites:
Hisense RQ760N4BFF
LG GMX844MCBF
LG GML844PZAE
Samsung RF5GA5202B1/EG
Feel free to suggest other alternatives.

And the last one (Samsung) has a “giant drawer,” which is less practical than having two separate ones (both on the outside and inside), as we have really come to appreciate with Haier. Ideal.

Gooosee15928 Dec 2022 14:49Ok, then we are looking for a multi-door or French door 😀
The freezer compartment is not that important.
I think the Samsung has two very wide drawers at the bottom.
But I also believe that multi-door is the most practical option, right?
With 4 doors and in the freezer compartment, 2 drawers per door.
I think Samsung doesn’t have a multi-door, only French door.
