As the title suggests, what's the situation like for you? Is there still a lot of building going on, or has it slowed down?
Are entire fields being developed, or just scattered plots?
And so on. Please share your observations and experiences. My impression is that the forum has become somewhat quieter.

BTT:
I’m also noticing more properties matching my still active search queries. But at least for the first listings, prices haven’t changed much yet.
Warning, this post contains traces of irony

Go to the parenting forum and ask how extensively you need to cut out mold from packed lunches. 😀Thanks for that 😀 😀 😀 😀 I’ll do that when I have some free time 😉
When I look around among my acquaintances, it used to be much easier to afford a home. In my parents’ generation, who by the way are not academics (regarding the bubble and such), almost everyone in our circle owned a home. In my generation, quite a few still do, but with the key difference that both partners usually work, whereas in my parents’ generation typically only one income was needed and sufficient. Going on vacation multiple times a year is also not common among homeowners in my generation.
We are just glad to have bought a house before the significant interest rate increase because now, even with two incomes, we couldn’t afford it. Whether we will ever be able to again remains to be seen.
Tomorrow we’ll be refilling heating oil... According to the previous owners’ records, we will need about 1500 liters (400 gallons) per year.

When I look around my social circle, it used to be easier to afford a home. I’m old enough to remember the times when a branch manager could build a townhouse and drive an Opel Rekord. Back then, there was no "Good Times, Bad Times" soap opera for people to mindlessly watch until they believed in the fake world on TV. During my school days, there were as many kids being chauffeured around the entire school as there are in just one class today. It’s not always false to say that things were better in the past.

During my school days, the whole school had as many kids being driven around as a single class does today. The idea that everything was better in the past isn’t always a lie. Yes, the driving kids around part is true. We also used to walk the 2 meters (about 6.5 feet) to elementary school. However, nowadays usually both parents drive anyway and drop the kids off at school on the way to work.

and then drop the kids off at school on the way to workThis definitely encourages the independence of the little princes(ss). Otherwise, I totally agree with @11ant 😎
