As the title suggests, what's the situation like for you? Is there still a lot of building going on, or has it slowed down?
Are entire fields being developed, or just scattered plots?
And so on. Please share your observations and experiences. My impression is that the forum has become somewhat quieter.

It is quite telling that you rarely see the homeowner on the construction site. I usually only meet the tradespeople.
And if the front door is open, you can just walk right into the house. As I said, wearing work clothes makes you blend in completely. And if someone asks, you just say you’re the site manager. That always works! You clearly have the urge to get charged with trespassing. If I found someone like you on my building site, I might—albeit mistakenly—drop my hammer out of surprise...

QQSTSolar21 Sep 2022 22:11Yes, you press charges for trespassing, another immediately records the IP address alleging undeclared work, and the next one sends customs after me.
You can only smile at this.
It’s clear that there is hardly any experience with house construction here. Or does anyone really believe that everything is by the book with the subcontractors of the general contractor?
Just keep dreaming. On construction sites, much is done off the books—except for the materials.

In the other forum about kitchens, you can follow the downward trend that has been ongoing for months. Nowadays, if there are any requests at all, they are almost exclusively for kitchens in new builds from Austria, then Switzerland, and occasionally from Germany. Otherwise, it’s mostly existing properties, increasingly inheritance cases from parents or grandparents. Some of these show up again in this forum when the responses weren’t as expected.

Just shut the chatterbox up or take him to the train station! Wasn't he supposed to head to the Eastern Front anyway? 😀
I think with every substantial response, we're just feeding a troll straight out of Wikipedia. It's somewhat amusing, but in my opinion, he's making it way too obvious. Posting "You can tell there’s hardly any housebuilding experience here." in a construction forum is just... clumsy. It's way too obviously trolling. If you want to trigger people, you have to be more subtle. Go to a parenting forum and ask how extensively you need to cut out mold from packed lunches. 😀

I think with every meaningful answer we feed a troll exactly as described on Wikipedia. It’s quite amusing, but to me, he’s just making it too obvious.
