As the title suggests, what's the situation like for you? Is there still a lot of building going on, or has it slowed down?
Are entire fields being developed, or just scattered plots?
And so on. Please share your observations and experiences. My impression is that the forum has become somewhat quieter.

I was absolutely surprised recently when I was told that this year there was even consideration of turning off the underfloor heating (otherwise you get cold tiles) and the towel radiator during the summer. For me, the heating is always completely switched off in the summer (except for water heating), and I would never have thought of running the heating during summer.
Our energy consultant has noticed, beyond inquiries about heating system replacements, a certain reluctance toward new projects. People seem to be waiting to see how things develop with inflation, interest rates, and energy prices.

Yes, from early childhood. You simply don’t know it any other way. Also, like the huge houses (once you get out of the typical prefabricated apartments or if you have never lived there) and at least 24–25°C (75–77°F) everywhere. Because anything lower feels far too cold. An acquaintance from Kyiv (a refugee) lived in a relatively new high-rise building right in the city center.
Heating is provided through district heating with no possibility for residents to adjust it themselves. The result is that they have fresh air in their apartment all year round since the windows are ALWAYS open or tilted. Otherwise, it would be way too warm indoors during the heating season. 🙂

without any possibility for the residents to set their own rules.Seriously? What is this? Is everyone just handed a standard RT?
I am always fascinated (shocked) by how adults can let themselves be disempowered to this extent.

I am always fascinated (and shocked) by how adults allow themselves to be so disempowered. Yes, that's how it is. What does disempowered really mean? In the end, it falls under "different countries, different customs."
For me, it wasn't understandable either, especially since it wasn’t an old house, but "that’s just how it is."
ah, now I’m reading it
Alright, I thought it was now in our area. That would have been really excessive for me.
By the way, my father lives in a large apartment building in the city heated by the district heating system.
After the temperature in his apartment was clearly below 20 degrees Celsius (68°F) last week, the supplier finally turned it up yesterday, thankfully.
There was apparently a notice along the lines of "We all need to save energy."
That’s actually even worse.
Especially since the city swimming pool with sauna is still open...

Heating supply is provided by district heating without any individual control options for the residents. This is not only found in Ukraine. I have also seen it in other countries. I even asked where the thermostat on the radiator is. The answer was: It’s large, transparent, and can be opened.Similar topics
