Hello,

We had a two-layer oak parquet floor sanded and lacquered. The area around the joints is several millimeters (fraction of an inch) darker than the rest of the surface. The flooring company says this is just "normal." Are there any indications of what might be causing this? Is this really acceptable?

Thank you for your assessment.

Varnished or oiled? Is this new parquet?

Hey,

the parquet flooring was installed 10 years ago and has been lacquered.

Looks like it’s parquet weekend here.

At the joints, the parquet tends more and more to absorb moisture than on the surface. It’s just wood after all.

Maybe @KlaRa has some input on this?

Thank you!
