Hello everyone,
some time ago I started a thread titled "Pressure Washer – but Which One?". I have now made my decision and I’m looking forward to the work.......................
To mostly avoid issues like this, I would like to install a slot drain retroactively. Since the water always pools on the left side and doesn’t drain.
In the pictures, you can see where I would like to install it (marked in red). The red circle indicates a connection point to the soakaway system.
I would place an inspection chamber in the middle.
Would you take on such a job?
What disadvantages might I face later with this kind of drain? Are there any experiences with this?

Okay. But how exactly does the channel help the water drain on the horizontal slabs?
And as I said:
If the water is standing along the left side, you also need a channel along the left side, running lengthwise.
You would need a channel with an integrated slope there. Logically, I would remove the slabs at that spot and relay them. The last row would have a slope towards the channel. Regarding the slope of the channel, I was thinking of a slot drain from ACO. They have a minimal built-in slope.
I still don’t understand the placement.
You want to slope the last row before the lawn toward the terrace, and then direct the water back toward the lawn via a slot drain? Am I understanding that correctly?
Is the water coming from the lawn or from the terrace?

Is the water coming from the lawn or from the terrace? The water comes from the terrace and flows toward the lawn. I would like to position the drain as shown in the picture (red line) so that the water can drain directly into the infiltration trench.
The last row of paving stones would have a slope toward the drain, so the water does *not* flow onto the lawn.
And the gutter after the last row, before the lawn? That would look better. Or would the last row then be set into the lawn?
